Stretch Zone Is Open Across South Florida, Continues To Offer Clients A Free First Session

Article written by WSFL-tv.

There are many benefits to stretching. Not only can stretching help increase your flexibility, but it can also improve your posture, reduce stress, body aches, and so much more. This is where Stretch Zone comes in to help. Each session lasts 30 minutes, where practitioners help you get that deeper stretch you need.

“[We try to focus on] programs of stretching to benefit and really put the value behind whatever goal the consumer might be chasing. For some people it might be getting a better golf shot or sleeping through the night comfortably,” said Tony Zacarrio, CEO of Stretch Zone.

Studies show about 75% of computer or office workers reported work-related musculoskeletal discomfort. All of these workers had office desks and full-size computers, so they were starting in a better position than most of us now working from our kitchen tables.

“A lot of people do exactly what you and I are doing right now, it’s called sitting, and we do a lot of it. Whether you’re on the way to work, whether you’re sitting at computer at work, whether you go home and sit and relax sitting at home and watch TV. [It] creates a lot of imbalances in the body. People today are experiencing lower back pain, a nagging hip pain or sometimes even shoulders or neck pain,” said Tony.

“Before the pandemic we would see a lot of frequent fliers. People that would fly or drive for their job and now they’re just sitting,” said Helen Martin, owner of 12 Stretch Zone locations in Florida.

Helen Martin owns 12 Stretch Zone locations in Florida and says last year’s shutdown was heartbreaking.

“Like most owners, it’s wasn’t a vacation because you’re fighting for your life basically wanting to keep your businesses open,” said Helen.

The reopening of all locations involved new safety protocols, including only allowing four clients at a time, versus 8-10 pre-pandemic. Both Helen and Tony say their top priority is to ensure the health and safety of their employees and clients.

“If you’re not feeling well, don’t come to work. We’ve also laxed our cancellation policy for clients who aren’t feeling well,” said Helen.

“We want to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to ensure the safety and well-being of the clients that are coming in so we can continue to serve the communities that have been so gracious to us,” said Tony.

The first session and any of their locations is free. You can find a location near you and more information, here.
